Sian

Sian has had a year full of adult happenings as she nears graduation from Ball State University. This Spring was the first time she didn’t have a position within her sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi, so she had a lot more time on her hands. She focused on school work and relaxing in her time outside of class. She also had to adjust to having college courses fully online when quarantine hit in the spring.

Over the summer Sian worked at Chilis as a server with her sister, Olivia, for a short time.    She and her brother Brian moved into an apartment on the northwest side of Indianapolis. Besides slipping away for a week to visit her sister Meredith, the summer was filled with packing & unpacking and making their new apartment homey. Sian definitely does NOT like that her parents are getting rid of their house in Indy-she hates change!

Studying Elementary Education, Sian had a very cool opportunity this fall and was placed in a 2nd grade classroom at Rhoades Elementary for an immersive student teaching practicum. She worked with a mentor teacher and spent 3 full days in the classroom each week-a great way to prepare her for student teaching in the spring. She fell in love with her kiddos. She also had to adjust to some virtual teaching towards the end of the semester. She looks forward to student teaching and graduating in the Spring of 2021.

Sian enjoys hanging out with Brian, spending time with her boyfriend Gabe, cooking, reading, and listening to her true crime podcasts all the time.
