Marty & Kelli

Due to COVID, the usual activities, excursions, and family gatherings were very limited for 2020.  Kelli did get to visit Meredith & Ian in March and both Marty & Kelli visited Dustin & Hannah (Midland, TX) to help them move into their new house in September.  They extended their trip by a day to Waco to visit the Silo’s at Magnolia (home of Fixer Uppers Chip & Joanna Gaines)
.

The majority of the spring and early summer was spent tending the Naptown Retreat (now their permanent home.)    Marty continued his practice of habitat management for the wildlife by planting food plots and Kelli spent much of her time tending the garden (first garden in over 25yrs), canning vegetables and her signature blackberry BBQ sauce and syrup.   They both enjoy watching birds, butterflies, and other wildlife out the back door on a daily basis.

Besides the road trip to TX in the “Naptown Storm,” the couple got away for an extended weekend camping trip to Dogwood Lake SRA in SW Indiana for some bluegill & crappie fishing.

They wrapped up the summer spending multiple weekends doing their own "fixer upping" on one of their properties at the Retreat as well as their house in Indy in preparation for sale.   The house in Indy currently has a pending sale offer and expect to close in mid-January as their final step to get out of the big city.

Kelli volunteers at the Crawford County Food Pantry each month and continues to scrapbook, read, and take care of pets Louie, Stella and Dr. Poe.  Marty is still working at Single Source Systems but spends any free time he has outdoors, and after four years of waiting for that trophy buck, finally  harvested his first deer off the property.
